After my dad’s liver cancer diagnosis, I decided to cut back. His drinking was a factor to his deteriorating health.

You outlined it here but I had never heard it before and it made me absolutely joyous: skin health and hygiene as a deterrent for alcohol consumption. I thought that was so funny and interesting and I just loved it. You’ll have to tell me how Mockingbird is and congrats on the sobriety

Really on the same wavelength here Kayla — I had to stop drinking recently and frankly I’m shocked it took me so long to realize the water I was swimming in. Now that I’ve done an NYC holiday party sober (and still had fun!) I can’t really fathom drinking regularly again?

love this for you!! what was it like doing the holidays sober? at first i was nervous - especially for a work event - but by new years i felt like i had my groove because i had other options to drink instead of alcohol.
